The Hairless Runt Strikes Back!

This is my attempt at NatureTales 's Star Wars OC Kara of Kashyyk, a human orphan raised among Wookies, not long before encounters between her adoptive people and the Empire will draw her into the rebellion. She has often been teased with the nickname of "hairless runt," pushing her resolve to prove she's as Wookie as anyone, and then some. That's the heart of this exchange with another Wookie child.

It didn't occur to me until late that Wookie fur tends to be long and settled, while this guy's a little too shaggy. Perhaps young Wookies have shorter and fluffier fur. Also, I hope my attempt at a Kashyyk backdrop is passable. Landscapes are still my weakness.

This is the latest pic where a scan of an ink drawing was covered in Paint.net with partly translucent color fields, and I'm interested in doing more. It preserves the coarseness of a paper drawing, but it also preserves the shading and textures.
